I called up there this afternoon, no ice on there the road is open fishing is good but no huge mack's have been caught yet. Looking to give it a shot this weekend

this should be a great time to be up there no crowds and good fishing. as i stated in an earlier post it should not freeze up until much closer to thanksgiving so you should have several weeks of open water left. given the ten day forcast it may even be longer. good luck let us know how you do.

Hell yea, thats great news! Im goin early tomarrow the macks should be shallow from the colder weather. Youve gotsta be a tough fisherman to go to jeff. When you take your gloves off to switch to another lure you better have some quick fishing skills cause that wind will blow the heat right out of your hands in a min! The wind can kick so hard it can be a positive thing because you can cast your lure into the wind & it carrys it an extra 10 feet or so-depends on your lure! Jefferson weather report for sataurday 55, partly cloudy, winds 15 to 25 mph, sunrise 6:30......................Perfect for one last time! Layer up to who ever gose and good luck
