I went to Eleven Mile Res this morning. Didn't get there until about 0930, hoped it would be a little warmer. 33 degrees when I stopped for boat inspection.
Trolled down to the inlet using rapalas, spinners, and Tas all to no avail. Still lots of weeds down by the inlet. You could see down to about 6-7 feet.
Ran back to the islands west of the marina and started trolling again. First had a 16 inch rainbow nail the Tas. Circled around the island again and around the same area a beautiful 19 inch brown nailed the same Tas again. Caught one more smaller rainbow and the wind had really kicked up so I decided to head back to the dock. That was fun. First time I have been up to Eleven Mile with a boat. The ramps are very close together and made getting out more fun that I wanted with the cross wind.
All in all a fun day even with all the smoke from the controlled burn going on. With the wind, smoke and clouds it was too cold for wife and needed to leave for warmer climate.
