Dan Swanson Dan Swanson is a professional walleye fisherman and guide residing in Fort Collins, Colorado. Aside from competing in tournaments across North America, Dan has returned to his roots as a multi-species angler, fly-fishing mountain rivers, guiding for walleye and bass on Horsetooth Reservoir, and chasing a variety of fish in the numerous lakes in northern Colorado and Wyoming. From 2004 until its demise, Dan fished the In-Fisherman Professional Walleye Tour and competed in the 2004 PWT Championship as one of 52 qualifiers. He was also named the 2004 PWT West Rookie of the Year. Featured on Mountain States Fishing with Terry Wickstrom, The Fishful Thinker with Chad LaChance and as a regular contributor to the Fan Outdoors radio show, Dan is a teacher at heart having left the corporate world to help others learn how to catch fish. He gives frequent seminars and presentations in Colorado with a focus on walleyes and electronics. David Coulson State Editor To say fly fishing is a passion for Dave is an understatement, he lives by the adage, “fly fishing isn’t a matter of life or death, it’s much more important than that.” Simply, if it’s a fish, then Dave’s willing to chase it on a fly. This includes making a couple three trips a year out of state to places like Alaska, Canada, East and West Coasts to fly fish for salmon, northern pike and salt water species, such as redfish. The rest of the time Dave spends his time plying Colorado waters with a fly rod for everything the state has to offer such as bass, perch, crappie, bluegill, walleye, catfish, pike and yes even trout with a fly. Matt Snider Matt Snider is a life-long fly fisherman who has turned his attention to the "other species" of Colorado, namely any non-trout species. Having caught multiple warmwater species in Colorado on the fly in Colorado alone, Matt built Fish Explorer as a means for anglers to maintain updated lake conditions, an element he finds critical in catching fish and enjoying our resources. An advocate of alternative fly fishing and fisheries preservation, Matt is an avid wiper and muskie fisherman traveling with boat in tow in pursuit of these hard-to-find fish. If a fish is willing to eat something, his bet is that it will eat a fly. Nate Zelinsky Nathan Zelinsky is a full time professional walleye angler, fishing on the Masters Walleye Circuit and new this season, the FLW Walleye Tour. Besides tournament fishing, Nathan owns Tightline Outdoors guide service which is an all species guide service, fishing for Walleye, Smallmouth bass, Pike, Trout, Kokanee Salmon and Wiper. Nathan spends around 300 days a year. Nathan is sponsored by Lund Boats, Mercury Marine, Frabill, Tasmanian Devil Lures, JR’s Tackle, Pro-Cure, Approved Mortgages, Interstate Batteryies, Big O Tire & Grease Monkey of Littleton, and is member #162of the National Professional Anglers Association. Tim Emery Tim now lives in Denver after eight years of being a fly fishing guide and shop manager in Vail. He hosts the Fly Fishing Report on 104.3 FM The Fan Outdoors Radio show, acts as the Programs Coordinator for Denver Trout Unlimited, and hosted a daily fly fishing report for 6 years in Vail on KZYR 97.7. Tim is the host of the FishExplorer.com Fly Fishing Podcast. Troy Coburn Troy Coburn is one of the most avid bass fisherman you'll meet, spending over 100 days a year on the water. Troy is a professional licensed fishing guide whose specialty is fishing for trophy bass, wiper and walleye on Denver metro lakes such as Aurora and Quincy Reservoirs. Troy is a four-time Colorado B.A.S.S. Federation State Team qualifier and two-time Denver Bassmasters Angler of the Year. Troy has appeared on numerous occasions with Charlie Meyers in the Denver Post Outdoors section, is a frequent guest on Terry Wickstrom’s Mountain States Fishing TV show and AM 950 The Fan Outdoors radio program, and conducts fishing seminars for the International Sportsmen’s Exposition and at Bass Pro Shops during their Spring Classic event. Troy is proud to be sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Daiwa Reels, St Croix Rods, Jewel Bait Company, P Line and Rod Wrap. Barry Reynolds Barry Reynolds is credited as one of the leading warmwater anglers in the sport of fly fishing. An author, TV and video personality, professional guide, and teacher, Barry has propelled the sport of fly fishing into new realms like no other. He has dedicated his fishing life to species such as carp, pike, bass, walleye, wiper and numerous saltwater species. He has authored/co-authored several books and produced DVD’s about catching these “alternate” species on the fly rod. Barry is a regular in speaking series and on seminar circuits and is sponsored by Ross Reels and Ross Worldwide, Rio Fly Lines, Smith Action Optics, Simms, and Umpqua Feather Merchants.
