Waterdog Reservoir sits among the Mesa Lakes grouping which offers easy access to a number of lakes. Camping, lodging, a restaurant, bait, fishing tackle, and a picnic area are nearby.

Getting there: From Mesa, CO, drive south on highway 65 for 13.6 miles to FS road 254 which is on the left side of the highway. Take this road 0.3 miles to a fork in the road. Turn right and go an additional 0.2 miles to the reservoir. There is a parking area at the end of the road, with a short hike to the lake.
