haven't been out since last weekend but when we were there the ice at cross creek was the best with about 10 inches. I heard reports of a lot of open water from howbert point on down to witchers cove.

Was wondering if anyone thinks the tournament will still be on Saturday the 20th. It said it was at the north boat launch. Where is that at? Thanks for the info.

Ice was talking pretty good today. But it was a solid 8-10 inches. Bite was slow for most.

Stoll mountain was 9-11 inches, got one 20+ inch pike this morning. Moved to witchers ice was 10-12. Areas of open water near pressure ridges and close to islands. Be careful. Take your cleats or a helmet you choose. Bite was very very slow after the grand slam.

The pictures were taken from Rocking Chair area showing open water in the middle of the lake, Lazy Boy, and island near Howbert Point.

Was out yesterday 1/15/2018. Ice in the middle of the lake out from Cross Creek was 11 inches. Fished from sun up until 3:30. Had one bite and 2 lookers around 10:00 AM. Then another 3 or 4 lookers around 1 PM. They seemed more interested in the Kastmasters and SuperDupers than they did in the Shrimpos. Ice was really noisy. Sort of like popcorn popping.
