Been so busy all summer I have only been fishing a hand full of times. Convinced the wife to get out for a couple hours this morning and it paid off.

Congratulations Brad, welcome to the club. Nice fish and great color. I bet that lake is only 30 minutes or less from your house.

Thanks all.
Russ - right at 30 minutes from my front door. I plan to be a regular.

cool , looks like CPW stuck a few of them in the new Cerro Summit water supply lake outside Montrose. they wont last long before everyone fishes them out and then it will be back to MRBT.

Well Black dog maybe that is why no one mentioned the lake.

They should last a while, it is catch and release. They only run 12 to 14" now. About 1/2 mile walk will reduce the pressure some.

Beautiful fish. Congrats.

Catch and release and a walk to the lake will hopefully help it stay a healthy fishery. Could be a kick ass place in a year or two if people follow rules...

no worrys it wont get fished out and after all isn't internet fishing site about sharing? looks like cool little area and all catch and release. well done CPW!

Well done CPW is correct - not sure that link or info on this small lake was needed on here however.

Yes Blackdog it is about sharing but share to much info there will be nothing left to share. Lots of trolls on these sites who only want the info and give nothing back in return. Also C&R is cool but you really think some of those will not go home? Same idea as blacking out the background on a photo so people don't over crowd a honey hole.
