Went out with gtiwarrior this weekend

I met up with gtiwarrior this weekend to help him out with getting back into fishing and showing him and his daughter around monument. We found a good pocket of bass perch and gills over the past few days. Felt bad that he didn't catch anything on Saturday but was able to get his daughter and her friend into some fish. Today though he managed to get a couple decent sized large mouth and gills. My son and I killed it on the hill front with the floppy sticks. He caught a personal best gill today and I managed to pull one out that wasn't one of the typical 3-4" ones that have been hanging around. The perch we pulled out were very vibrant too. I also managed to land a picture worthy bass (for me and the fly rod). Had a good sized one snap the tippet after gtiwarrior pointed out some surface activity for me drop a fly into. Either way it was a great weekend. We managed some decent fish and it was a great way to get to know one of our new members.

I have some pics of the ones my son and I caught. Hopefully he got some as well.

great job guys on getting you and your kids together. Check this out, might help your kids catch some "giants" for the smallest fish contest. This was taken at Monument
