VICTORY Coffee for CarpQuest

Though my carping endeavors have been few this year, due to work commitments and some personal family stuff, I did finally manage to get out on the banks again last week. It was an insane session, that the old Cat v Carp fans would have been proud of.

Rumor has it when "One-of-Two" heard of the days catches he actually blew a transducer circuit Fishranger almost broke a tooth on his ribs at the news, mumbling something about "it's over John, let it go!"

During a brief couple of hours I landed seven great fish, all MA's, including a 30", 31", 32", 34", 34.5", 35" and a 35.5", with the best pushing the scales close to 30 lb's. The action was so fast and furious I did not even get a chance to drink any victory coffee until I got home that evening.

What was more special for me, was finally landing a new PB mirror carp, at 35" and over 23.5 lb's, she was a beautiful fish. It was only near the end of the session we realized the weigh sling was touching the ground off the tripod oh well, lesson learned who knows how much she really weighed !

Here are some of the pictures from that day. We did record footage so will get it all released in an upcoming CarpQuest episode.

Tight-Lines,
John

Even with my haul of MA carp, the cat guys would be miles ahead, they have put an amazing # of big cats on the bank already this year, both in Colorado and out of State. I am enjoying my trips out, catching some big-uns, albeit a lot less trips out so far this year. I even ran into Fishranger a while ago (was tempted to just run him over!), as we were both out in stealth mode hunting some big fish.
