Fishing is normally pretty good for small stocker sized trout. You can catch fish at dowdy with worms, powerbait or salmon eggs. I usually use spinners or small jerkbaits or a fly and a bubble. Good luck.

Small stockers? Where the big ones at up there?
Thanks.

There may be a few big ones in Dowdy, but you have to sort through a few hundred 8" - 10" fish to find one. The strongest tug you are likely to find there is from a sucker.

Other lakes in the area hold larger fish, but also come with a fly and lure only regulation, and different limits on keeping fish... Hence why they have bigger fish..

Take a look at the fishing maps link at the top of the page and search the area.

If you want anything of size I'd try parvin. The fish are harder to catch but they are generally bigger. It is an artificial fly and lure lake though. If you're looking for monster trout I'd try 11 mile or spinney mountain.
