Seems a bit early for a bass tourney there. I usually don't start getting bass consistently until May.... But there's always the "maybe I don't know what I'm doing," factor

Yep, y'all will wreck 'em with that timing. They're getting a ton of pressure though...but don't ask me how I know. 😜

Chad...what's the water level looking like at Boyd? I've heard it's fairly low. Muddy banks still?

As of April 8th none of the 3 inlets were flowing, water level was still way down and off color. The inlet at the marina was completely out of the water, as was all of the structure below it. Heinracy canal inlet was dry below bridge and into Boyd side. Didn't get a chance to look at the other inlet, but heard from CPW that it too wasn't moving water

Still same as winter, hunt-n-fish...very low with flat dirt banks almost all around. Don't let that bother you. CL

So some of us do not FACEBOOK and that means you are not allowing us to PRE ENTER
Reply by: fargingicehole      Posted: 4/17/2017 8:37:46 PM     Points: 22224
If you have paypal, you can "pre enter" with this link: [log in for link]

Paypal deadline is April 19.

Otherwise, you can pay on the day of the tournament, $40 + $10 walk-up fee, plus one-time annual membership fee $10 = $60 the day of the tournament.

To save a little time, be sure to print and fill out the entry form and insurance form, also on the link provided.

FYI...There will be a big bass pot for tournament participants. $5 to enter Big Bass. Check-in starts at 5am. Make sure you have a sound making device (whistle), PFD, white light (headlamp..etc), and a Hawg Trough (official measuring device for our tourney's). Also, you'll need some type of Camera (some people use their Cell phones) as we are a Catch, Photo, Release tourney.

We also will have a Smile bin. The Smile bin is fishing related items that we donate at the end of the season to some type of kids charity. So bring those old rods/reels/lures...or new ones to donate.

Well - who was the big winner?

Good to get a chance to visit with Bassackwards and the rest of you that I had a chance to chat with. You guys are hardcore - that weather was kinda brutal early this morning.

Thanks to the CKFC for putting on such an awesome tournament. There were a lot of great anglers fishing yesterday who were very willing to help each other out and just have a fun day on the water. This was the first tournament I have ever been in so didn't quite know what to expect, but the atmosphere was very welcoming and professional. I hope I get the opportunity to sign up for more events in the future and keep the momentum going!
