Lake: Tarryall Reservoir

Tarryall update?

Post By: NDgrown      Posted: 2/14/2017 11:12:28 AM     Points: 120
Does anyone have a current update on the lake conditions? I am planning to head up this weekend, but wanted to double check before I trek up there.

Thanks in advance,

NDgrown

I was up there late last week. Lots of ice, needed most of my auger to get through. Wind was ripping 20mph when I got there at 5am (couldn't sleep so left early) but then died down to a light breeze at sunrise, never seen that before. Caught about 15 small 'bows from 6-8am, waxies on 1/32 oz jigs fished a foot or two off the bottom. Light bites that day so I used an ice buster bobber. Action tapered off early, really slowed down after 8am, but then I left at 9:30 so I don't know if/when it picked back up. If you don't have a spot in mind, just find the outside weed edge and you are golden.

I went last week, landed 12 in 3 hours, all small bows. Missed at least as many with the light bites!
