I suspect there are cats in the river. The ponds at Confluence Park have yellow bullheads in good numbers, not sure about Channels, but I suspect they're in there.

There are cats in Crawford. There are some in Sweitzer Lake, but you can't keep them or eat them.

There are small cats in Confluence and in Sweitzer - Sweitzer catch and release only, but I would release from either... Both places are great for kids. Can hardly keep the little guys off the hooks with a nightcrawler

We have caught cats in Confluence up to 16" n lots of yellow bullheads to about 9". Fish off the end of the north peninsula and throw as far as you can at 2:00 angle. Bigger cats in a little deeper hole. Since you are new and have kids I will give that up. But you still hafta catch em.

YD - just curious why you would release cats from Confluence. I understand that Sweitzer is under a selenium warning, but not sure why Confluence would be a problem, unless you just want to conserve the fish?"

Just my personal opinion really. Im pretty picky about where I keep my fish from and the heart of the City of Delta is not on the top of that list. To each their own, I just wouldn't put it on my plate...

As I remember Confluence park was the cities sewer treatment site up until the, if I remember right, mid to late 80s.
