Fishing has been a passion of mine ever since I can remember. My earliest memories of fishing are of the trips Iíd take with my grandpa to a local bluegill pond. We never caught anything big but the constant action was all it took for me to become hooked. I was probably only 7 or 8 when I started noticing a few cruising bass. My grandpa was the best fisherman Iíve ever met, but he wasnít overly concerned with catching. He wasnít sure what to use to try and temp one of the cruising bass so he took me to the local library. Thatís when my angling education began and it still continues today.
As I mentioned earlier my grandpa was the best fisherman Iíve ever met. Iíve probably caught hundreds maybe thousands more fish than my grandpa did in his life, but I still have a long way to go in regards to understanding fishing the way he did. To him fishing wasnít about fish, it was something more. I hope one day I have the complete and utter contentment that he had while fishing.
Throughout the years Iíve chased just about every game fish species in Colorado. Iíve never been limited to a certain technique. One weekend Iíll chase wipers throwing big swimbaits and the next Iíll be up throwing dry flies on my 3wt for brookies. Capitalizing on the diverse angling opportunities we have in the great state of Colorado. Iíve developed a high level of expertise while never losing a love for simple pleasures like watching a bobber go down.
Iíve committed myself to helping others not only catch more and bigger fish, but also enjoy themselves more while doing so. Through magazines articles, blogging, and seminars I hope to help as many people as possible.
